Kept one on my checked bag and carry-on. Was very easy to use and secure. Instructions are TERRIBLE. Luckily my brother had a similar lock and helped me out a lot. Basically you set the buttons to zero and open the lock to make sure it opens. Then you hold down the button the bottom of the lock and set new numbers all while its in the locked position. Once your numbers are set release the bottom button and wallah. Another note is, you will need a pen or bobby pen to hold down that button its not easy to push. I traveled and dint have any problems. Very happy.I bought these locks because the standard locks I own did not fit in the Amazon Basics duffle bag zippers. I used them for the whole family and it was so easy to set up and lock code and to change it up. I love not having to locate keys. These locks have racked up some miles. Two of my family members have borrowed them in the last couple of months. They're sturdy.Difficult to set the combination. Instructions unclear. I chose the red color to help me recognize my luggage while traveling.I bought this to actually put around some door handles so a roommate couldn't break into the cabinet. It seems pretty sturdy so far. The combo is easy to change, you just have to set it to the default 000, push the button in at the bottom, change the code and then release the button.
